FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Who makes your chocolate?
We source our chocolate from several producers Worldwide. Harika & Ivan then turn the raw material into amazing shapes and tastes.
  • What is the difference between a chocolate maker and a chocolatier?
A chocolate maker focuses on turning cocoa beans into chocolate, either in buttons or bars. A chocolatier on the other hand uses skilled techniques to transform chocolate into truffes, pralines, and other wonderful treats.
  • What are truffles & pralines?
Of course there are many definitions depending on regional bias. In our terminology, a truffle is chocolate mixed with butter or cream to make a soft centre. The truffle is then dipped in chocolate to make a hard shell exterior. A praline is chocolate mixed with caramelised almonds or hazelnuts that have been reduced into a smooth "butter".
  • Did you train as pastry chefs?
No, we trained as chocolatiers. That is why we only make chocolates and not cakes or other deserts.
